Fire Seal 136 Fireblocking Sealant is a single component, UL classified caulk that meets and exceeds ASTM-E136 and ASTM-E814 standards for fireblocking applications in single-family, residential construction. For use in annular space around wires, pipes, ducts, and other penetrations. Fire Seal creates an air-tight barrier to prevent the passage of flames, smoke, and toxic gases from spreading area to area within concealed spaces. Fire Seal 136 possesses superior adhesion and freeze-thaw characteristics and is the contractors #1 choice for fireblocking non-rated wood- frame construction. Fire Seal will not shrink, crack, or crumble upon cure. Product is red in color for easy identification during inspection. Chemically compatible with FlowGuard Blazemaster and Corzan pipe fittings as well as all PVC, CPVC, ABS, PEX tubing and other applicable penetrating items. Firestop 814+ is easy to apply and freeze/thaw stable. Tested to ASTM-E814, ASTM-E136 performance specifications. Low V.O.C. formulation.
